Nice WFH setup worth it?

I will be starting full time in IB at a bank/team with a 4 day in office, 3 day WFH. It also seems likely that I will be able to leave the office after dinner and log on back home to turn comments that come in later in the night. So it seems about ~40-50% of my time working will be wfh. For those currently in the industry, is it worth it to get two nice monitors, nice desk chair, keyboards etc? Also, if I have a Mac in college should I just use that to login to my virtual machine, or should I go ahead and splurge on a nice gaming PC/laptop to kill two birds with one stone? Or has the value of a nice WFH setup gone away with hybrid work. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Not in the industry, but a nice high-quality chair, an ergonomic mouse and keyboard, and a desk that doesn't put your monitors in your face will make your life so much better. You'll face fewer headaches, less wrist pain, and it'll be better for your health long term. For productivity, I always recommend 2+ monitors. I can't imagine trying to do my job with just one.

Me personally? Environment has a huge impact on my productivity/stress levels. Maybe I am overly sensitive but proper chair/stand up desk + high quality monitors (good color/ips/size/scaling), adequate desk space (don't forget space for food, personal computer, & notebooks), natural lighting + good quality artificial light (right tone/color/amount). Good quality camera/headphones too. I never sat at my desk and said, jeeze wish I spent a little less. Try to see if your firm will support some of the spend too. My company covered my monitors/dock.
