No MBA in Banking
Hey guys, my last post got a lot of really helpful responses, so just thought I would try my luck again. I'm going to be getting a direct promote to associate this year and am pretty happy in banking. Will not having an MBA impede me in any way? I understand it's not completely necessary in banking, but for higher level exit ops is it expected? I feel like the opportunity cost is too high right now, but I realize that it will only increase over time.
If you decide to stay in banking, absolutely not. If you want to move to another job, most likely not, but you could always go back for your MBA if you wanted anyway.
Awesome, that's what I've been thinking. I've heard once you make it to VP a lot of sins are forgiven and an MBA is less required if you jump ship
