No Return offer

Completely lost. What do I do now? I have a shitty GPA (3.5) and interned at a niche product group with little transferable skills. Have done zero networking since I got the summer offer last year so very few contacts I can reach out to. I feel like I’m heading into a depressive spiral but I know FT recruiting comes and goes very fast so I need to get back in the game quick. Any advice?

What do you mean by colleagues? Is it a faux pas to network with the Analysts at the firm you were just rejected from or should I be doing that?

Maybe find one or two associates that you connected on a personal level, those that you think vouched for you. Tell them about ur situation and ask for their connections at other firms. My experience has been they have always been willing to help out, given that they have to like you

Networking with people at your existing firm and alumni is going to be the way to go.

Also as to not waste your time, you should be realistic as to what roles you'd have a chance at. At best, you'd be looking to land something that was as good/selective as your current role, but 99% more likely, you'll have to look for something that is somewhat of a step down.

GPA isn't horrible, are you coming from a target or non-target?
