No time to do the case study

I’m an IBD analyst recruiting for the buyside. I was sent a case study last weekend for a position at a fund which I just didn’t have time to do as we had a deadline for Monday and I was swamped with work. I couldn’t find time during the week to do it either as I was regularly finishing at 1am. I explained the situation to them, I feel they didn’t really believe me and just thought i wanted more time to do it however they agreed to give me an extension to do next weekend (which is now this weekend).

However the same situation has happened again and I’ve just had no time, work has been incredibly busy recently we’ve got a deal closing next week, a pitch coming up and also launching a new deal, I’m actually dying with so much work my family haven’t even seen me even though I live with them working from home.

the extension of the case study is due for midnight tonight (so I have exactly 12 hours to submit) and FYI it’s a big case study that requires a lot of work it’s not the typical 90 minute case study you can smash out it’s a full blown exercise which will require 1-2 days work.

However we have a pitch tomorrow and I’m still working on the presentation and we’re all working on it today to have it finalised by tonight and I also have other work to do. I just have no time. If I ask for an extension again they will just reject me but if I try to rush a full weekend exercise in 1 hour it’ll look terrible.

do I try rush the case study and get it done at low quality or do I ask for another extension and risk getting rejected?
