Not getting any first rounds - Why?

I am a current junior applying for positions ranging from AM to IB and have barely heard any responces. I feel that my resume is decent and I should be going somewhere as I have a decent GPA from a non-target. I also have an internship in IB that I have been doing with a boutique for over 9 months now. I have only received one first round with MS.

Also not very specific on what you actually did, try to flesh out the experience a bit more

Interesting that you put remote... I had a SA in NYC that was remote, but I still put NYC on my resume as that is where it would be? Not sure what others think, is there some stigma against "remote" internships?

Get your bullets to expand across the entire length of the page. Be specific, add numbers, and show your actual value add. Don't just say prepared marketing materials. Say how many CIMs you prepared and what sections you worked on. Add what industries of the companies you work with. Add the EBITDA or revenue or enterprise value of the transaction. It's all about how you spin your experience. Lots of people have internships but to stand out on your resume at first glance you need specificity. I say this as a non target non diversity that has gotten around 15 first rounds from banks of all different types. Good luck man

Get more specific with your bullet points. Don’t be afraid to embellish a bit to sound like you did something more important but don’t lie. I didn’t personally use the WSO resume format so maybe you can try something else like others mentioned.

Your resume is the first thing recruiters look at and yours needs mass improvement. I would recommend changing the format. You need to quantity the work you’ve done and make it look more organized. Networking is also key, you can either focus on a few firms or several. If you really want it, you can get it. You have to be on point, be put together and know your stuff.
