Why do MDs want company management as a slide in the deck when there's a senior management page on the company website?
Most pages don't have information I can't find on the website. Is the CXO planning a move soon? Sure make the page. Else kill it.
Am I too naive to think this?

I like to think of a slide deck as providing the necessary context with the assumption they only have the slide deck. So they wouldn't be bothered to Google or no longer need to and you deliver a convenience to them. Its basically framing a narrative from start to finish without having to pick up a dictionary to the words of the book you wrote.
