NY vs SF for investment banking

I go to a semi-target prestigious school that's on the west coast and I'm a rising sophomore looking ahead towards recruiting. I know that I want to do M&A and, of all the coverage groups, Tech interests me the most. It seems like 50% of the kids from my school go to SF and the other 50% go to NY. Right now I am deeply conflicted on which city I should focus my energy on recruiting towards. Obviously NY is the king of IB, but SF is the king of tech. I also think coming from the west coast, I may have a slight advantage in the recruiting process in SF compared to NY. I feel like I also have to consider things like culture, exit opps, etc. Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter?
