NYU Stern Undergrad: 4 Year BS/MS In Accounting

Hi! I'm new around here:

I'm an undergrad student at Stern, and there's a program that I can apply for that would give me a BS and MS in Accounting. I'm probably going to try and break into IB–is the program worth it?

Definitely wouldn't hurt your chances at all, always good to have more on your resume to help you stand out from other candidates. I'm sure the 4 year MS in accounting program requires a much more rigorous course load than a regular BS degree which could definitely help you sell yourself in interviews and "prove" you can handle the hours and stress of IB - the only caveat here is your GPA needs to be just as good as someone not in the program. So I would say go for it as long as your sure you can maintain the same GPA as if you dont do the program.

yea an MS in accounting would be pretty beast if you can maintain a 3.5+ gpa

but id use that extra time studying to find internships at boutique banks in the city
