Offer from Boutique IB firm in LA- Commission Only?!
As the title suggests...I was given an offer from a small middle market boutique in Los Angeles that pays commission only. I originally come from wealth management but through my network I met an MD from this firm and I gave him my resume. We had a few informal meetings and I met another MD and next thing I know- they want to give me an offer (I haven't made my decision yet).
1099 though...commission only, no base. I can do it and all, but like is this normal? Is this legitimate? Is this something boutiques do? And let's say I just suck it up and work on deals- can I transfer these skills to a BB in the future?
Thank you for reading, everyone!
