Offering recruitment consulting services as analyst - would this be allowed?
First-year analyst here. One of my friends is one of the co-founders of a recruitment consulting service, and he recently reached out to me asking if I would be interested in being one of the "mentors" on his team. Essentially, I would be a "tutor" to kids and helping them prep for interviews. I am wondering if this would be allowed by banks and if I should ask HR?
bump
Not worth the risk-reward. An extra couple of hundred bucks for possibly losing your jobs if you are found to be doing this. Had happened to my sister's friend a few years ago. One of his mentees had mistakenly told another banker in his bank about his mentor and you can guess what happened next...
Would this be a problem if I expressly make sure I am not helping my mentee apply to my bank specifically? Can't imagine why this would be a problem if I am teaching someone how to break into other banks?
