Title. Are emailing say school alums in mid-high level roles in IB considered acceptable? I know most people focus on analysts/associates but the power with power to push your resume are presumably these people.

I mean it depends on the school. If you go to a major target, a place where there are tons of people in finance, he probably won’t be super helpful. For ra ra state school non targets it usually works better just due to the fact they are more enthusiastic about seeing other people from that school wanting to work in their field. There isn’t really a huge downside outside of maybe wasting your time because they don’t respond as much.

Really depends on who you get. Some seniors are receptive to cold emails and some get very annoyed
