Other people got valentines, I got an offer for Big 4 M&A advisory.

I'm not going to lie, it feels weirdly disconnecting (In a good way) to see everyone I know posting about Valentines and love while I'm here feeling the greatest high from receiving a congratulatory email and a phone call from HR welcoming me into their firm, talking about on-boarding.

I guess next steps are to prepare intensely to ensure I perform well on the internship. Does anyone have has gone through these experiences have any advice on performing exceptionally as I'd like to lock in a return offer? I have Wallstreetprep's entire library (Thanks SEO!) so I should be good on the technical side unless I'm missing something.

Also, has anyone else experienced this disconnect? It’s a weird feeling to be celebrating the biggest win of your life while the rest of your world is focused on something completely different. I'm quite curious to see whether anyone has experience a strange disconnect like I have.
