Overlevered or WSO Interview Questions?

Hey everyone, gearing up to lateral soon (ideally BB/EB) and was wondering if anyone has used Overlevered to practice technical questions before.

Are the questions actually helpful or would it be better to pay for the WSO service and see previous interview questions here? Assuming I'm going to get interviews should I even be worried about technicals or just continue practicing modelling / talking about deal experience.

I already have my investment club questions / 400 Q's (which I have never really been asked anything outside of in all my processes) so wondering if its worth it.

Thanks for any advice!

Ah, the age-old question of which resources to use when prepping for the big leagues in banking! Based on the highest ranked content on WSO, here's a little nugget of wisdom for you:

  • WSO Interview Guide: It's like the Swiss Army knife for interviews. It's comprehensive, covering behaviorals, technicals, and networking. It's got the goods from sample responses to company-specific interview stats. If you're feeling a bit shaky on interviews or networking, this guide could be your new best friend.

  • Technical Prep: You mentioned you've got the investment club questions and the 400 Q's down pat, which is great! But if you're aiming for BB/EB, you might encounter some curveballs. WSO's resources can give you a broader range of questions that might come up, especially if you've never been asked outside your current set.

  • Modeling Practice: Keep those skills sharp! Modeling is the bread and butter of banking, and being able to talk through your deal experience with confidence can really set you apart.

  • Overlevered: It's not mentioned in the WSO threads, but hey, more practice can't hurt, right? Just make sure it's reputable and aligns with what you're looking to achieve.

In the end, it's about feeling confident and prepared. If WSO's resources can add another layer to your prep, it might be worth considering. Remember, in the jungle of high finance, it's survival of the fittest. So, keep honing those skills, and you'll be swinging from the vines of success in no time!

UPDATE: So I got overlevered and will be cancelling my subscription after one month. There are SOME new technical questions I haven’t seen before, but under Centerview Partners they have questions like “what is ebitda” and “what is cost of equity?” 💀💀

Was expecting more in depth technicals I haven’t seen before not just BIWS regurgitated by some college students for some extra $$ on the side. Oh well just $8.00

yes, it was super helpful for my evercore interviews. the questions were pretty much identical to what they asked me. overlevered was helpful for a few bulge brackets too but I was less focused on those firms
