its def possible, but i wouldnt recommend it. commuting will add ~3 hours a day (depending where on li you live).

Depending on where you live in Long Island, the commute can be tolerable. The LIRR runs every 10 minutes or so during peak hours, and shouldn't require more than 30 minutes one-way, unless you're all the way at the tip.
