Potential Lateral to Jefferies. Interview Questions?
I potentially have a lateral interview at Jefferies and am curious if anyone has gone through the process of interviewing and can shed some light on what to expect. I have a Mergers & Inquisitions guide that I'm going through but am pretty worried about technicals and don't want to blow this. Any help would be appreciated!
Be able to speak well about your previous deals, you should know your resume inside out. Refresh all the basic M&A, Valuation and Accounting questions plus make sure you know how to build a 3-statements model.
Read up their website and any recent deal/news about them of course.
Curious if you have any insight as to whether they use a modeling test/case study
Take a look at my lateraling guide. Your questions will be almost entirely fit and based off of the transactions listed on your resume. They may ask a few technical questions, but the ones that I always got were straightforward and just a way to make sure that I was thinking.
Thank you! I'm actually working in management consulting and have no deal experience. I'm assuming I'll get more technicals than you did?
How long did it take for them to get back to you?
