Potentially Leaving IB (Need Help)

Throwaway account. As the title states, I am considering leaving IBD for a corporate development role after my first year as an analyst. Here is a little bit more background on me:

  • Undergrad: T50, majored in Engineering
  • Current Role: IB Analyst at firmly middle-market bank (NYC); returned after summer analyst stint
  • Enjoy my current role and group but starting to feel the impact of the hours on my health and overall well-being

I know I do not want to do banking long-term, and the PE outlook is good but not great at my current firm - not completely sold on that route either.

I wanted to reach out to this group to solicit feedback on potentially making a jump. Is it a bad look to leave after banking after just one year into an analyst stint for a different role such as Corp Dev?
