Pre-IB Summer Travel Dilemma
About to start my analyst stint in a few months and am itching to explore the planet before sacrificing my soul for 90hr work weeks. My two main concerns: -COVID, obviously -I’m not vaccinated (and very low-priority on the vax totem pole) and still haven’t gotten COVID
Half of me says “f*ck it, you’re only young once and you’ll regret not going now.” The other half says “it’s unsafe and you can always go between jobs. Also what happens if you need medical attention in a foreign country?”
What’s the best move? Does it depend on (1) if I’m vaccinated and (2) where I travel? Would it just be best to travel domestically instead? Thanks in advance
In the same boat, hardly seems worth it since most places are still under pretty strict international travel restrictions. Would still do it if you can find places you want to go that are open. Worth a shot to call vaccine sites and see if they have extra vaccines that are close to expiration that they will give first come/first served rather than following priority, I know that is available in my area.
Update: just got an email from my county today permitting me to schedule my first vaccine later this week. I'm gonna send it. Only young once
