Proper way to follow up?
Last week I added an alumnus on Linkedin as a connection, then asked him if he had any time for a brief informational interview since I wanted to make the transition into IB. To my surprise, he directly asked me if I found any job openings that I'm interested in his bank and he can send over my resume. I was quite happy since that's my ultimate goal so I searched online and picked one that I'm qualified for and send him the job ID with my resume. Then he asked me if I had applied for it. Since I was not sure about the referral procedure in his bank, I hadn't applied and told him so. And then I haven't heard back from him (my message was not marked as read), but saw him was online for several times. It has been almost a week so I want to follow up with him. What's the proper way I should take? Just asking him again if he had time for an informational interview?
