Heard some things about the firm. Comp seems to be extremely low and culture also doesn’t look great. Any insights?

Interviewed there a while back - comp is well below market. They are a small turnaround advisory shop that works mostly on UCC mandates. Pretty unsexy work for low pay, but could be a stepping stone for something else.
any insight into what the technical assessments were like?
They give you a public company and its 10k. You are expected to build a 3 statement model in three hours.
Anything else besides 3statement? No LBO? What would you recommend for practice
