Hey all - just started as a first year at an EB in NYC. Was wondering when it’s generally acceptable to take PTO - am thinking to take a week off around Jan/Feb (~6 months since starting) and dont know if that’s frowned upon or straight up not allowed.

Should be fine. I was scared to take those off when I first started and didnt take my first real PTO until like late May. In hindsight it really wasnt that deep.
You just started and are already thinking about taking PTO..? Maybe I’m old now but I didn’t take any PTO til after my first bonus
Depending on your EB, a week off after 6 months in might be ambitious but just check with your deal teams tbh. If u take a weekend or 3-4 days, don’t see why that would be an issue unless you are on some live deal that is popping off with work.
No PTO until you’re Assoc.
