Putting IBs on the political spectrum

Where would you put well known banks on the political spectrum (far left, far right, centrist, etc.)? I know it can be very group/location dependent but are there themes across their national/global brand?

What do you think is the “farthest right” bank and the “farthest left” bank?

STRH is far right. I went to their info session there was no mention of diversity quotas or AA (usually firms dedicate some time to talk about this). I don’t think the bank even has an AA internship unlike other banks. The bank also almost exclusively recruits from SEC business schools which keeps that far right culture going. The bank is also headquartered in Atlanta and deals solely with MM clients (so their clients are usually Republicans also). I do wonder of this culture will change now that they’ve merged with BB&T to form Truist. The FO roles are still for now in Atlanta. I don’t know enough about BB&T to talk about if the culture will shift or not.

I think you’re confused. I’m not using far right to mean racist, I mean in in the sense of hard core Republicans. The idea that the “left”= equality is a thing of the past. Trump has done more policy wise for African Americans than Biden or Harris both who have a fair amount of controversy among African Americans. The polls speak for themselves in this regard.
