PWP Industrials 2024 Update and Associate Exodus?

With the placement process finalizing soon, I’m curious if anybody has any thoughts on the industrials group in NYC. I worked with the group a bit during last summer and from the start they were one of my top 5 for placement. One of my friends is interning right now and told me that almost all of the associates left in the past month or so. There seems to be only one or two still there with about 5 that left. Is that true? Is there a problem with the group that I should be aware of? I was considering staying in banking for the long term but this is a bit worrisome if I get placed into the groups.

If anybody knows what’s going please let me know.

I'm not sure, they are looking for associates but deal flow is a little meh. I guess they will bring in some mediocre MBA associates as usual

Other than two mega deals this year (GIP-Blackrock and Shockwave deals), M&A deal flow has not been great in the firm
