Question about finding a FT Job

Ok Im a Sophomore in undergrad and on my current track I will not graduate until Fall (Dec?) 2015. This is because I am doing an internship this summer and plan on doing one next summer. I understand Fall graduation is strange and am wondering how it might affect my prospects of landing a FT offer. Thanks for your insight in advance guys

Disagree..it will affect you for IBD. Training programs start in June, not January. You can participate in FT recruiting in the Fall, and hope you get a FT offer, but you'll have to explain why it's taking you 4.5 years to graduate and what you plan on doing during your 5 months off between graduation in December and your start date in June.

Other option is to hope for a 1-off type opening, where they are bringing you in off cycle to fulfill a need, rather than bringing you in along with a "class" of analysts

Find a way to graduate in May like everyone else.

Because when you're in a room full of smart people, smart suddenly doesn't matter—interesting is what matters.

^ I agree completely. I just graduated this past December with a FT offer and I interviewed with multiple banks/boutiques and at F500 companies. No one seemed to care that I was graduating in December and it was understood that many of the programs would be starting this summer. The only issue is finding ways to spend your time for the 6+ months you will have free before your job starts but that does not affect whether or not you can land a FT offer.
