Quitting in June?
1st year analyst looking to lateral, but at this point I’d still like to collect the 1st year bonus.
What happens if I give my two weeks in between the year end comp meeting (last week of June) and bonuses being actually paid out (1st week of August)
I don’t see any scenario where they will pay out a first year lateraling. It’s different for 2nd years who are exiting the program.
If you get an offer from a competitor, you can see if they’ll make you whole or delay your start date
You won’t get paid
I'm trying to quit end of June as well, but as a 2nd year. I would wait until end of June to confer with HR as to when you can leave officially to still get paid out.
Don't say anything until the money hits your bank account. Even more so when lateraling.
Do not quit (or give them any indication that you’re thinking of doing so) until that direct deposit hits.
