Ranking the IB Hierarchy from Best to Worst

1) Intern - low expectations, no pressure, enjoy the city
2) MD - Have lemmings for days to do your work, ride a few good relationships to $$$
3) VP - can get away with being lazy, have juniors to crank the work and seniors to make the money, constantly question their existence
4) Director - pretty easy overall but need to start to focus on selling, constantly on the chopping block
5) Analyst - Pumps out the most volume but gets cover from most of the shit via associates
6) India Team - thankless, boring work but with no pressure
7) Getting hit by a truck - 90% chance of dying, worker’s comp possibility

8) Associate - responsible for everything, gets shit on for anything that goes wrong, no cover and a lot of work
9) Printing Team - are given last-minute materials by angry and sleep deprived juniors 20 years younger than them

Did I miss anyone?

Honestly, pretty fair. I'd split VP into "Cruising" and "Looking to get Promoted" categories. The ones who want make Director are probably below Analyst. The ones who are cruising are probably above Intern.

At my bank analysts could take undisturbed vacation time while MDs seemed to always be plugged in; got to listen in on a few calls with various MDs who were working on vacation because of their client's needs. Just an interesting observation

There was also the accounting team going after bankers of all levels expensing things they shouldn't have
