Real Face of DEI - JPM Sex Scandal

WSO don’t move this to Off-topic. It belongs to IB, else this forum discriminates against men.

He is a victim that needs to be believed. This survivor deserves dignity. Where are all the social justice warriors now

bro at first i was shocked. but then looking at the photos of the two there's no way this happened. the guy is literally fucking ugly.

It’s a misconception that only good looking people get raped, some perpetrators are driven by lust, others are driven by desire for power, this applies to both men and women. This is also why during wartime, some straight men would rape other men, it’s a display of dominance. A man/woman not being conventionally attractive doesn’t mean they can’t be victims of rape.

About time men start reporting this crap. Just because they get free cat doesn’t mean it is legal.

Amazing she was transferred from LevFin to the commercial bank, where this behavior continued, instead of being let go and this was hid under the rug.

misconduct is consistently mishandled across teams and levels at firms like this with women that are protected and favorited there regardless of performance and shit like this

IF this is true, it is disgusting. But let's not pretend this is male-only thing. It happens to women too. The problem is that the industry is designed in such a way, that it makes it impossible to report sexual harassment, as it basically ruins your career if you go public. Hopefully, he will been seen as credible, otherwise it's career suicide. I think the focus should not be his gender at all, but rather the gender-wide problem in banking, that he didn't feel safe to report it when it first happened.

Gender is an issue here because stories like these are used by feminazis to earn quotas and concessions from banks. If female seniors feel empowered to act like this with impunity, it’s time to say goodbye to all DEI quotas catering towards women.

Remember he is a survivor and you have to believe him. Is this not the narrative that is shoved down throats often.

They all belong to particular religion too. Point being white women do the same too, especially in finance. They can’t digest rejection.

Besides do we have any proof that guy is lying? Let the court decide. Sorry won’t sympathize with the woman just because she is medium pretty.

Controversial

Wonder if this race stuff came up when Epstein, Weinstein, and other people get called out when there are a string of incidents (but oh wait, your’s are anecdotal). Browns by representation are the most educated and least criminal ethnic group in the United States (verifiable). We should pull up all the whites and see where we get by that determination. Anyone remember Sage Kelly? Get mad bro, get mad. I’m here for your fuckin job and took it.

Yahoudis wont like this one..

Sage Kelly was a rainmaker and the main issue was that he was a in a nasty divorce battle. He sounds fairly toxic but it was his wife, not a subordinate at work, or a random young male / female being peddled to him for sex, who made the accusations about being forced into swingers' parties.

And he was fired pretty fast.

Idk I think a lot of men are going to be en masse applying to JPM. I myself hope I get to work on her team so I can become "canon" fodder. I would die on that ship with her as my captain.

I am going to offend some people and I'm sorry.

This is obviously an extortion scheme and I have heard of 3-4 scammy stories beyond this one at different firms and they all involve Indian, Indo-Burmese, Indo-Nepalese or Indo-Guyanese employees pulling off some kind of fraud. One was at a BB - an Indian dude was struggling, thought he was going to lose his job and H1B status and falsely claimed his boss was gay and touching/harrassing him. Another at a different BB was an Indian-Guyanese girl who was flirting with a dude, got caught by her husband and made up fake texts she sent to HR that got the guy she was pursuing fired by playing victim. A third was a young Indian woman at a MM PE shop who was upset she didn't get promoted and started claiming all kinds of wild sh*t about two partners she worked closely with. Not to mention the senior Indian guy at JPM who has some unreal stories and just got hired at Citi. It's impossible for people to dispute or sue over these things if they lose their jobs or get penalized because the lawsuit and publicity itself will make finding new jobs 10x harder; it's a very unfair and absurd HR racket.

I know people are going to be sensitive and offended but Indians/Guyanese people from India are extremely dishonest and come from low-trust cultures that have tons of fraud. This is the new call center scam, designed to protect your employment, cover for your own performance/personal problems or extort your employer. Imagine if these claims were made against a man. It doesn't matter that they were completely made up, 10000000% chance he would have been fired within a week even if they found zero evidence and his life ruined. I feel very bad for this woman, she can never have her reputation back and will probably be pushed out of the firm, she isn't important enough for them to take all the bad publicity.

I just avoid that entire group of people, is what it is.

I am Guyanese and could not agree more with this. I try to distance myself from the culture because it's so toxic. It is a culture where your own relatives will try and scam you.

care to elaborate? I've worked with quite a few people of Indian descent and to me it's pretty much the same that in every ethnicity you'll find a similar ratio of assholes / scammers vs decent folks.

But all the Indian bosses / peers / juniors that I've worked with tell me smth along the lines of "people will lie if they can" when doing business in India.

In case anyone else was like “indo Guyanese..?”

> Indo-Guyanese are Guyanese citizens of South Asian ancestry, forming the largest ethnic group in Guyana (roughly 40–50% of the population). Descended from indentured laborers brought by the British from India between 1838 and 1917, they hold a central role in Guyana's agriculture, politics, and culture

Ok b*tch, we didn’t seek gender quotas and we also don’t cry misogyny every time things don’t go our way. We also don’t go around cancelling people due to difference in opinions.

If you read the articles you'd see Chirayu's suit was withdrawn for "corrections" (aka his law firm realized they could get sued for malpractice if they actually brought it). It's so obviously fake and the only shame is a tabloid picked it up in the few hours before it was withdrawn

Yeah suddenly statistics don't matter and logic goes out the window. I've yet to understand how this case with a male victim (if true) invalidates the many more women who got sexually harassed.

These same dudes will twist themselves into pretzels on unproven theories like the greater male variability hypothesis just to complain about why they don't get what they feel entitled to.

The idea that only men can be abusers or that women are just naturally kinder, can handle power better etc are huge misconceptions. No one who has ever visited a strip show catered to women or has talked to some male strippers about their experiences can believe this. In these situations women are usually worse than men because their misbehaviours are much more tolerated. And I don’t know if anyone has noticed, reports about female pedos has increased a lot in recent years.

Totally agree. Unfortunately white men do a miserable job of keeping women in check. White men because they run the country.

yeah I suppose that's why the vast majority of people who are sexually harassed or assaulted are still... women, and the vast majority of female victims are sexually harassed or assaulted by... oh, still men.

Women can definitely be abusers but let's be real, there are vastly more sexual assaults perpetrated by males than the other way around.  Same with murders and violent crime in general.  And at a minimum, there is clearly enough doubt around the facts of this specific case that we should probably stop using this as some kind of incel rallying cry - at least until we know the facts.

But I'll believe you on the male strippers part, I don't really know any so I'll take your word based on the conversations you're apparently having with them.

It is true that more men than women commit crimes , and I’m not saying that female victims don’t matter or anything like that. What I’m saying is that male victims and female abusers are often overlooked. About the homicide part, a big reason is gang violence, therefore vast majority of homicide victims are also men. Again, that said, I’m not denying the importance of female victims experiences, this is not a zero-sum game.

It is widely documented that when a man and a woman commit the exact same crime, women are less likely to be prosecuted or sent to prison and even when they do, they tend to receive lower sentences. This is due to benevolent sexism.  Plus, it is not until recently that people even acknowledge that men can be sexually assaulted by women.

There is bias in reporting, not just that less men will report due to the constraint of traditional masculinity but gov reports are often biased, for example, UK’s statistic on violence against women and girls include male victims as “women and girls” and Australia’s report cherry picked results, ignoring male victims and female abusers altogether (senator Malcolm Robert questioned the institute regarding this issue and they admitted that they did cherry pick results to achieve an effect).

Back to this scandal, I agree that it is still under investigation and this man may have been lying. The thing is, if he was a woman, there will be more media coverage, comment section wouldn’t contain so much mockery and JPM wouldn’t likely be so protective of the ED.

As for the stripper thing, yes I had a friend who use to strip as a side hustle. Also, if you’re interested or doubtful you can just search on online platforms where people in the industry post about this topic.

Plus, on the use of the word “incel”, it’s a hijacked word don’t you think? It use to mean involuntarily celibate men who hate women, now like the word “nazi”, it means anyone who dare not saying things that perfectly align with your values, therefore people like Andrew Tate (don’t get me wrong, I despise him) who have multiple children with multiple different women and use the lover boy method to pimp women is called an incel; Elon Musk, who also have multiple children from multiple different women and who doesn’t really hate women, is also occasionally called an incel, not to mention the number of people online who are called incels for giving slightly controversial takes. The word is like when people use to call someone a lunatic or a hysteric, the words often don’t have real meanings, just a way to discredit people and shame them into silence. In my own case, I am a gay man with number of supportive female friends (whom, by the way, are highly competent in their jobs and finds DEI humiliating), definitely not “incel” lol.

Fabricated or not, courts will decide. Knowing Balkan girls and the kind of guys they bang, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is true. The average North American or Western European man won’t understand that Balkan and even Slavic girls are unhinged and are actually capable of this power trip.

While I'm not surprised, I'm disappointed that so many people in this community are 1) perpetuating a story whose validity is highly questionable based on recent updates, and 2) using this on their campaign against women in finance.

While I didn't know her well, I did cross paths with her a long time ago when I was working in NYC through mutual friends and refuse to believe the accusations until they're verified. It's a shame how many insecure people have come out of the woodwork making judgements and throwing shade on her because of shitty journalism.

If she actually did do it then, I 100% condemn it but today the fact pattern is pointing towards a fabrication. In my book people are innocent until proven guilty. Unfortunately nowadays it doesn't seem to matter and the damage is irreversible.

Agree, I am having trouble understanding how his lawyer took this case without fact-checking.

Serious question - any sense of how he was able to get so many jobs and well-respected firms? He has nearly moved firms every year. Wouldn't headhunters and the firms themselves, like Bregal, consider this a red flag? Asian is not considered a minority for DEI purposes.

JPM offered him a million dollars to settle which he turned down earlier. Case seems pretty credible now with a lot of corroborating witnesses too. She will set back the whole “me too” and DEI gravy train couple of decades

apparently now he’s filing for racism too against the entire sr lev fin team with quotes - seems likes it’s all just getting started

Hindus also make up 80% of the Indian population and 15% of the world population lmao

Stupid generalisation to make

why do some guys act so feminine. no woman can r@pe you its impossible unless your some 5'0 twink. men and women are not equal. this guy is a beta. "but if it was the other way around" stop acting like a f@g.

Brave for reporting. Now that cat is out of the bag, he was offered $1 million to settle. I am sure he will win in court.

Try to make your brain work for once.

When you are a rape victim and went through a trauma, the last thing you want is for your story to go public and spark controversy, especially when you're a male working in what is viewed as a virile environnment. If he had actually been raped, the whole process wouldn't have been to go on a legal chatbot to "craft a defense", but to contact lawyers, to seek help from close relatives, and to do things in silence. Or maybe the other way around : standing proudly in under the spotlight as a survivor and as a symbol against rape and sex-related crimes.

Yet, our jpm boy isn't doing any of this. His whole behaviour relies around fabricating the most surrealistic stories to shock the public into advocating in his favour, and the people on this forum are exactly his target audience : brainwashed incels.

Jpm offered him 1 million dollars in hope that he would stop his nonsensical claims, and in hope to protect the bank from a major scandal, months after the centerview turmoil. But our greedy motherfucker wasn't gonna take the bait, no no no. He wants more. 10 millions at least. As he knows he will never find a job in high finance/consulting/whatever prestigious and lucrative again, he wants to go all in and hopes to make big money once and for all. A new story comes up every day, the latest one being that he lied about his dad supposedly being dead just to take 3 months of paid leave.

One may argue that he refused to take the 1 million offered by jpm because he knows he was abused and deserves more than that, and that the bank deserves to be exposed for covering such crimes ! I call bullshit. The guy doesn't act as a survivor, he stays in a weird, uncomfortable state between victim and liar. The whole thing reeks of lies and made-up sensational stories that were inspired by previous real cases, just to shock the public and put pressure on the bank.

The dude even canceled his lawsuit because some documents had to be "corrected". The girl has apparently never even been to the location where the assault supposedly took place. The whole thing is shady, unclear, and I don't think people on this forum really convey a neutral opinion on women.

If the girl actually assaulted him, she deserves to be jailed for a long time.

If the dude made all this up just to cash a check, ruining the girl's career because she was an easy target, he deserves to get an even longer prison sentence.

you are a misandrist and racist. All this hate towards an alleged victim without proof while Rana had offered witnesses and turned down a million. I can tell right now that he will win in court. JPM doesn’t offer money to any Joe for no reason. There is some credibility to his claims. She is being protected by someone senior (group head) who she was sleeping with

You're all missing the point entirely.

The guy is trying to get paid. That's it. That's the whole story.

$10M+ is more than any of you slaves on this treadmill will ever see in your lifetime.

He turned down $1M because his career is already cooked, victim or grifter, doesn't matter. He has nothing left to lose.

Everyone in here arguing about "victim behavior" vs "liar tells" is just cosplaying as a judge. You don't know. I don't know. The DA didn't even know.

But here's what we do know: JPM offered seven figures to make him go away. He said no. That's a negotiation, not a morality play.

Call him a survivor. Call him a scammer. Either way, he's swinging for a bag bigger than anyone in this thread will ever see.

The rest is just theater for incels and DEI warriors.

Now go back to your spreadsheets. You're billing 4x today.

With larger banks (I personally know of one involving a firm not even as large or gilded as JPM), I've heard of even analysts exaggerating things to get a low hundred k payout to shut up about their boss swearing at them. Smaller firms don't care but for tier 3, bbs & above, the nuisance factor vs the amount to be offered can make it work.

The real answer is that the evidence isn't out yet. I can't find the link now, but I saw the case docket when he first filed his claim and there was scant evidence there. There was a short, single line email where both the email and the email address had been redacted. There was a screenshot of a threatening message where the number was neither redacted nor identified.

If Lorna can prove that she wasn't even in the location on the night that he claimed she SA-ed him, then "all" he has left are the racial discrimination and harassment claims. Which is still a big deal. But clearly not your area of interest.
