Recruiting with a very unique work and college background

Hey guys, currently a senior majoring in finance, over the last few years I went through a very interesting journey and wanted to hear your thoughts on whether I even have a chance in recruiting for IB analyst roles.

I am a non target, GPA around 3.7, 5th year in college but finishing this year.

  • Year 1 - Interned at a small private equity fund (under $50M AUM), focused on roll-up strategies for medical and dental labs.
  • Year 2 - Completed the Goldman Sachs Virtual Internship Program.
  • Year 3 - Took a Summer Analyst role at a small real estate bridge fund; received and accepted a full-time offer and took a gap year to work full-time.
  • Year 4 - Worked full-time; boss fucked me on pay so I launched my own RE bridge lending "fund". Primarily operating via credit facilities and brokered transactions. Closed approximately $25MM in credit deals (YTD).
  • Year 5 - Still own and run the business and returned to college to finish my degree. Currently considering applying for IB summer analyst position and aiming for GS or JPM but lack some modeling skills which I plan to improve in the upcoming months.

One of my clients is well connected with all the major banks, he worked in the industry for some time and now runs his own PE fund/family office, and he offered to make some introductions if I was interested

Is this something I should even consider at this point? Is there off-cycle recruiting or am I tied to the cycle? All feedback is appreciated :)
