Requirement for 2018 SA positions

I am a rising sophomore with a competitive finance intership and top-gpa under my belt. I am in the application process for 2018 SA positions in IBD/ER/GIR. However, many of these positions indicate that potential candidates must have an expected graduation between December 2018 and June 2019. I have the opportunity to graduate earlier than my expected date (2020), but I can't say 2019 without having the appropriate amount of credits right now.

I have a friend who was in a similar situation and won a junior internship at a BB as a sophomore. My question for the monkeys is if it is worth applying and networking for positions that are outside my expected graduation, or should I only network for positions that are available to current sophomores?
