Sales of S&T
To preface, please excuse my ignorance.
Not to demean anyone in the sales aspect of S&T, but what exactly do you do?
I understand on a high level it boils down to being a “market maker”. I don’t want to piss off the sales people but what exactly do they do other than pick up the phone and then tell clients prices they get from the traders? Plus isn’t it largely electronic now other than a few desks?
Where do people usually go after starting a career there ? Is it similar to M&A where it’s a 2-3 years gig?
