Seeking advice: lateral from S&T to IB

Hi,

Seeking any advice regarding lateral move from S&T to IB.

In hopes of making this short and sweet, I'll just say that I've come to realize that trading is not my passion and it is a dying industry in many ways. I want to lateral to IB.

There's very little info on this, as it rarely happens. But it has been done without having to do MBA first.

To those Associates or VP+, what would you need to see from someone like me to even consider giving an opportunity/interview/referral?

I know that trading doesn't have many transferable skills. But I am more than willing to put in the work. Also, I'm aware that I'd be looking at starting from 0 again as a new analyst.
