Stop overthinking it. Tbh at least I read it on Monday morning instead of Tuesday when I’ve had a short night and have gone through 100+ emails that day.

Agreed that it’s best practices to wait until a week day. I would also think you’re response rates will be lower on weekend emails. At least I know I would ignore it and then it would get buried under work weekend emails and then Monday morning emails and would forget about it. Also there’s the chance you piss them off (it wouldn’t bother me but some people would not like a networking email on the weekend)

You might be seen as more dedicated if you send emails on a weekend, but personally that time is for me to chill and destress with other activities.

Kind Regards

Delay deliver to hit inboxes around 8am.

I'm not reading your email over the weekend (either I don't care or it gets lost with tons of other random or automated emails I'm ignoring) and IF I do it's probably alongside 3 other fire drills and I'll forget. Delay delivering around 8am ensures someone at least sees it when they first log in and probably maximizes your chance at a response (especially if it's short, engaging, with an effective CTA).

Do not send over weekend. 0 value add in doing so

No one wants tk respond to network over the weekend and it’ll get shoved under Monday morning mail
