Senior analyst vs Associate

I recently joined Morgan Stanley as an associate and just got an offer from Goldman Sachs with senior analyst title.

The GS recruiter claims that their internal grading system is different from MS and that Senior Analyst at GS is practically equivalent to an Associate at MS.

Is this accurate, or is it a title cut/downgrade?
