Series 63 and which study material is most related to the exam?

Im getting ready to take the Series 63, I passed the Series 7 last month and i used STC. I noticed very similar questions there so now I'm just curious which series 63 material is most similar? Thanks

@wallstreet1" i used knopman for the 79 and stc for the 63 and both were good. Just make sure u study a solid week or 1.5 wks and you're good. Def don't underestimate the small size od the book

The above is good advice. I think I spent a solid 1.5 weeks studying for it (including two weekends) and the exam still did not seem easy when I took it. Of the material that I studied, almost all of it appeared on the actual exam, so I don't think I over studied, even though my score was relatively high.

In terms of study materials, I had Kaplan, which I liked because you could create custom exams on just one or two topics and could instruct the computer not to give you questions you had seen before. You also could see how many questions were in the question bank for each topic, so if it was a small/unimportant topic, I would do a smaller number of practice questions on it. This also ensured that I would have enough unused questions left over for some full length practice exams at the end.

In general, my method of studying was to skim a chapter in the book, do some practice questions on that chapter, review every question I got wrong (or had been unsure about), take notes/do additional reading related to why I got those questions wrong, and then repeat the process until I felt confident enough to move to the next chapter. I then capped it all off with multiple full length practice exams (notes/additional reading after those too). Since the Kaplan question bank is so large, I was able to do several full length exams without seeing a question I had seen before.

Everyone learns differently of course, but I hope this helps.

It's actually fairly easy. I got by taking the 3 hour Knopman class and spending 2 hours of my own solving questions. Not sure if you have access to Knopman through your firm, but that's definitely the way to go.

I used Walker and got an 86. You should be fine. Just make sure to focus on all the specific details - don't let Walker's sometimes casual/joking approach detract from the fact that things get very intricate. That said, a lot of the answers on the exam can be deduced on the test with common sense once you've got a good overall feel for the intentions of the various regulations. But yeah, the 63 is annoying as hell. At least the 7 is interesting.
