Should an MSc student apply for internships/spring weeks? (London)
Hi everyone,
I am a UK masters student (business) who wasn't focused on finance during undergrad (did business management degree with operations placement) and was only exposed to IB around 10 months ago, I did not apply for internships at the start of my MSc year and so I am unsure about whether I'm taking the right approach.
I imagine spring weeks I will be considered "too qualified" for so that won't be an option at all. Am I correct in this assumption?
Will internships be relevant to me although they are targetted at placement year undergrads? (2 years ago for me), or will I be expected to apply for full-time positions (which I am nowhere near competitive enough for so need the internship really).
I am half tempted to apply for a spring week alongside the internships but don't want to potentially lose out on an internship application in order to find out - any thoughts?
Thanks,
James.
I don't think you will qualify for Spring weeks because you need to be in your first year of a 3 year degree or 2nd year of a 4 year degree in order to be on the right schedule for Spring --> Summer --> Grad when you get out of school.
