Should you stay or should you go? The Exit Dilemma
Hi fellow monkeys,
It seems pretty prevalent that there's a number of IBD analysts who enter IBD only to exit to HF/PE/etc after working a year or two. I think this is pretty understandable considering how bad the work hours for IBD can get and how attractive the exit opportunities seem to be, but banks like GS, who just released the names of new partners seem to be sending the message that they want people who stick with the company for the long term (understandably)
But what do you guys think? Is it better to stay in a BB and slog it out, with hopes of making partner or should one just jump the ship when the opportunity arises?
Bump!
I mean, everyone is going to have to make that choice for themselves. There's no 'one size fits all' solution.
That being said, my life got so, so much better after getting out of IB.
