Have a very reputable source that works in the pubfin division. They are very well-known and respected in the public finance division and very good connections and good deal flow. However, they have an older school culture, not by any means "mean" they are all very nice from what what I've heard but face-time culture is still a big thing, pretty sure its 4-5 days in office for everyone and the typical juniors shouldn't leave until higher ups are gone and have no plans on changing that. Also they are a multi-racial and women focused firm, meaning they have very few white males. Most employees are african or asian men and women along with white women. So if you are a white male you have no shot tbh or need a good contact. Not really a sweat shop either, rarely weekends work outside of little things here and there and average week is probs 70-75 hours on the analyst level. Lastly they pay much below street from what I've heard, like much below. Heard VPs salary is only 165k-190k and thats for all VP levels (VP1-VP3) with bonuses. However very well-respected in the space, my contact has had recruiters reach out to him/her from Goldman and Morgan Stanley for lateral hiring
