Sincere NYU OCR Questions

Im a incoming freshman at NYU looking to major in BS Business and Technology Management, I have heard that in NYU OCR, the BB and MM firms dont prefer Biz/TechMGMT majors and prefer Econ and Finance majors and want the Tech majors to accept BO and MO positions., any ideas on this? However I want to keep my options open and prefer a tech+biz degree,.. replies would be sincerely appreciated

Are you only considering BO/MO positions? If so, then Tech/bus degree is fine. Just try to take impressive electives and you will be fine...

@Alibabes56 no, i am interested in ibd and thus am worried if the tech/bus degree will restrict me as they prefer fin/econ majors,.. any idea about this?

definitely do the fin/econ/accounting major path. If you are already at stern, there is no reason not to major in something that will be directly applicable to your career. Maybe take tech electives. You are competing against kids who already have a fin/accounting major on their resume and have a straight story. You don't want to be asked a question in the interview "why bus/tech major?" because the interviewer would be wondering if you are so interested in ibd, then why are you majoring in tech?
