Why do some of the biggest/most prestigious banks bother with small-time deals ($50-100Mil)? Isn't it a v. inefficient use of resources?

There aren't always multi billion dollar deals going on. Doing small deals is better than no deals.
If the market slows down I'd expect you'll see even more of the larger banks poaching the small markets.
Thanks, Matty. But there has been alot of high-priced M&A going on... Isn't it better for the big boys to stay on top of that?
I highly doubt bulges care that their analysts have to work the extra hours to get the small deals done. Outside of that legwork, there's very little mds have to do, especially for those deals.
