So we made it.. huh?

Let me just start by saying that I'm really grateful for the opportunity that I have, I moved from a back-office role plugging numbers into a system to a sell-side M&A advisory role at a sweatshop to a buy-side corp dev role for the fastest growing SaaS company in the country (Europe) and also got the worst college scores in my class.

I get to work and present acquisitions to the CFO, CEO & senior partners but I still feel there is no real meaning in the work that I do.

I always enjoy the uncomfortable feeling of being out of my depth and then as in all the other roles, you become proficient in the work and the challenge is gone. Do you guys plan for an eventual exit to start your own business or are you happy to work in this field endlessly?

I feel like this is one of the few career choices where you are professionally trained to make money, why not use those skills to begin your own enterprise? Would love to hear your plans for post-IB/PE/Corp Dev future.
