This is why I went to PE as soon as I did a 2 year stint at Qatalyst, IBD isn't the WASP central it used to be, nowadays it's flooded with nontargets and minorities/immigrants like the ones you see on those videos.
Some middle market PE funds are still full of these types, so make sure you actually end up at KKR, BX, APO, Carlyle, TPG or Bain if you want to avoid rubbing elbows with the undesirables
