Sophomore Summer Internship Decision Making With Junior Offer Secured

Hi everyone,

After landing an offer for junior year, I have landed two internship offers for my upcoming sophomore summer: 1 as an FP&A intern at a decently sized FInTech and deposit solutions/liquidity provider (paid), and the other being an unpaid position at a LMM IB boutique that focuses on industry coverage that I'm interested in. I will be joining a mid-tier BB the summer of 2026, so I was curious as to which one I should take if I want to maximize my opportunities for group placement, eventual buyside recruiting, etc etc. Or, if I should continue to try to recruit for something on the buyside this summer by cold-emailing smaller regional shops (although most would probably be unpaid atp in the semester with summer right around the corner).

Would appreciate any input.
