Sophomore Summer Question

Background: I am about to finish my sophomore year at a top public university (UVA/UMich/UNC/UT) majoring in business. I have a 3.9 GPA, good ECs (founded a student organization and am very involved on campus), and I interned at UBS PWM in NYC last summer (from NYC originally). I can post my resume if necessary.

I applied to a bunch of internships for this summer, but I haven't gotten anything except an offer from UBS that I assume would be to do the same PWM internship which I did last summer (at a different office) and is not appealing to me at all. I have tried cold e-mailing some of the regional boutiques but I haven't heard anything.

How should I go about getting into a boutique/MM firm for this summer?

(I have heard about cold calling and I know this may sound a bit silly, but what should I say if I were to start cold calling?)

Thanks.
