Sportradar acquiring IMG Arena Deal Structure
I saw that Endeavor paid ~250M just to unload IMG Arena to Sportradar while keeping their other deal of selling off Openbet at the same valuation. Maybe it's just because I'm new to the industry but I've never seen a deal structure where you pay another firm to take the company unless its like a restructuring or debt-related thesis.
Does anyone have any insights on this? Super curious to understand it better and what other situations have occurred like this in the past and how it worked out.
