Start Date Delayed- Received Other Offer

I am a recent grad that got their start date delayed by a significant amount of time. I spent a few weeks applying and got another offer (a step below my original offer). I was wondering how bad the perception might be if I took this other job for the time being until my original job's start date comes by. I am unsure if the original job will rescind the offer if they run the background check and see that I've been at another place during the gap.

If anyone has experience with this, I'd love some insight.

How will OG job perceive this if they find out
