strange question, for manhattan people
I have an interview with GS in its 180 Maiden Lane office. my plane arrives in NYC at around 8AM but my interview isn't until afternoon. can anyone recommend a quite place (like a library?) near that office where i can study/prepare?
if no such place exist, then i would go to starbuck's.
There is a great old cemetary and church across the street less than 2 blocks down.
Not wired, but good place for reflection.
On warmer days, lots of people go there to ea their take-away lunch.
Good luck to you.
Its a great place for reflection... Whenever you're having a shit day, you can always go there to remind yourself that however shit your day is, there are thousands of people 6-feet under you, who would love to have the shit day you're having...
Whatever your bonus, however big your condo, and whatever car you drive, you will biting dust sooner or later...

The one at 60 Wall Street is an atrium, it's not too quiet either but it would be a good place to park if you need wireless access. I have never been to the other locations but they are all relatively close to the office.
i would hang out in a starbux and use the breakfast allowance to buy yourself 20 cups of coffee
I don't know about libraries, but there's a Starbucks on Wall Street right by the 2/3, and there's a Border's right along Broadway and Wall. If you have the time and don't care about walking, there's a brand new Barnes and Nobles in Lower Tribeca.
Oh BTW:
I get approx. 20 dollar breakfast, 25/35 dollar lunch and 50 dollar dinner allowance. I can use them all right? My interviewed is in the afternoon, but my flight doesnt leave until later that evening, so they'd pay for my dinner?
just trying to take full advantage of the allowances.
If we are talking about trinity church here, alexander hamilton is buried there. so yes, definitely good place to reflect.
