Summer Analyst Background Check

Hey all,

I've recieved several BB offers for the summer analyst position. I have a 3.8 GPA from a target school, but I included my transfer grades from my freshman year (I transfered from a non-target) as well as summer classes/study abroad grades to reach my cumulative GPA calculations which brought it up to 3.9. Will this be a problem with HR girls?

Also, when the resume drop transpired I had just accepted an internship position which I went to once before the interview (I put a three week freeze on the internship to go through interviews). I switched internships (the first one wanted me to stay the whole summer so I just found another one of equal reputation which I could work for only the semester) once I recieved the offers, so will the fact that I listed one internship on my rez, but then switched to another one, so I actually didn't go through with the one I initially put on my resume, be a problem as well? My friend was also wondering about these checks because he fudged the dates around on one of his past internships?

If this might be a red-flag, any suggestions as to what I should do? I can't have the offer rescinded for this can I? How in-depth do they go for summer interns? Any insights you might have would be much appreciated!

No, my name isn't Dan Bush, and this is a serious question to which I'd appreciate any candid insight/input from industry professionals/insiders if at all possible. Thanks!

anyway bro this is a situation in which you would be ok: X University Cumumlative GPA: 3.9 make sure you write cumulative i just looked through yale's career book last night which states that transfers dont have to put their previous school on the CV

also, i know mad people that had like 2.5s and put 3.3 and they were straight; i guess its all about luck. not in your case though, according to yale ur straight.

no u dont. if u need advice, just start a thread and ask instead of putting up this fake-ass front and hoping people would argue against u

dude, ur totally a loser. just shut up

Thanks very much, so it seems that combining my transfer grades is alright, but what about my intern situation. Like I said I actually wound up working a different one (same stuff though, Merrill Lynch vs. Smith-Barney) than the one I initially had on my resume, should I bring this up with HR ASAP?

yeah man, i dont know about your work thing

I don't think if you don't write "cumulative" it will make much difference.

If it says major gpa you know it is major gpa.

If it just says "gpa 3.XX" it means it is cumulative.

Cumulative means all-in. if you say X University GPA 3.9 you are saying your gpa from X univ is a 3.9 if you say X univ Cumulative GPA 3.9 you are good. trust me, it says this shit directly in the yale CV book
