Summer Analyst Deadlines

I'm currently finishing my sophomore year (will transfer for fall 2016) at a CC, with the intention of applying to a handful of target schools come winter. I feel confident getting into the schools I'm applying to, however my problem lies in the timing for summer analyst positions. I won't receive an acceptance notification until sometime during the first quarter of the new year, at which point most formal processes will be wrapped up.

Is my only option to simply network once I've been accepted into my new school (and therefore able to replace the name of my CC on resumes) and hope for the best? I was also considering reaching out now, explaining my situation, and talking to my contacts again once I have a more respectable school on my CV (not sure if this is viable/worth it/laughable). Somewhat related, would it be ridiculous to contact even the smaller boutiques now and look to secure something for the summer, regardless of my current community college status? Reading this back I realize that's probably the only thing to do, but I'd appreciate any feedback or extra thoughts!
