Summer Analysts - is your firm giving you a laptop?
I am starting work in a few weeks in Guggenheim's SA program, and they have told us that are current laptops are okay. I was wondering if any firms on the street are actually supplying their internship class with laptops?

You can always buy a new one... They aren't that expensive given how much you will make during the summer.
Always funny to see someone so out of touch with how low-income families live give out advice on what they should do lmao, "can always buy a new one .. they aren't that expensive". As if the broke kid's just got a wad of cash he can pull out of his ass.
Salaries aren't paid till after you start working, ranging from 2 weeks to a whole month. What's that kid meant to do until then? Give a shit performance for a month because his PC can barely handle Excel and another application at the same time? By then his fate's already sealed.
Let's not forget that a lot of the internships have been changed to 5 weeks, so that paycheck's going to come through when the internship's already almost over, so what do you recommend then?
