I'm studying abroad in the spring and my classes don't end till June 10th, and I'm not sure when my exams end, but some time shortly after that.
I was wondering what date BB SA internships start and how much flexibility there is with the start date?

Almost zero flexibility on start dates depending on if you want to work for a big name firm or not, and most begin in early June and end early-mid August.

My school is on the quarter system and Spring quarter also doesn't end until June 10th. So how does that work? I know majority of schools are on the semester system, but there's still gotta be a substantial amount of schools on the quarter system, so do investment banks have some sort of way to accommodate students from these schools?

When does the typical 10 week internship start? I know in the offer letter it says June, but is it early June or late June? I am writing the first level of CFA this June and want to plan ahead for that.
Also, is the 1 week training included in the 10 week timeline? Or is it 10 weeks + 1 week training?

10 weeks includes training. As far as start date, depends on the bank/region. Most firms last year started the first week of June (June 3), with some starting a week earlier (Lazard and Moelis I think) and some a week later. UK banks tend to start late June. JPM has a 9 week program rather than the standard 10.

ask HR though if your contract doesn't say. not an unreasonable question

Last year it was June 4th (a Monday) for a lot of places, so makes sense that it'd be June 3rd this year (also a Monday). But yeah, just ask HR, they'll be able to tell you for sure.

I don't know what the FT start date is but the SA start date is June 6th. That's the date training begins. Training ends June 14th and group assignments start the next day.
Sorta makes sense that the associates start training around when analysts end, they're staggering it. I've noticed a lot of sublets held by MBA students become available around the 12th-14th so I think that start date for summer associates might be pretty standard.

90% sure training will start the 2nd week of June 2010.
You might need to fill paper work / finger prints the Friday before training.
IBD starts one week before S&T.

And I asked HR, but some cheaper school housing closes earlier like August 6th so I don't want to be without housing for the last week; otherwise, it would be a great option for me.
