Thanks to you all

I wanted to thank everyone on WSO who contributes helpful information. I’m a first gen, international student at a non-target so when I mentioned I wanted to do IB, I got a lot of shit.

However, fast-forward 1-2 years and I’ve just signed an offer for SA 2024 at a great bank. Growing up in poverty, it’s crazy to now think that the money I’ll make next summer will be more than anyone in my family has ever made in a year. I’m honestly so grateful for all the advice, resources and information that gets posted here. It helped me not only learn about this career path, but prepare for it. You’ve all contributed to what will be a life-changing experience for me and my family so thanks!

As always, I’m no expert, but I’m happy to answer any questions regarding my experiences. Good luck to the rest of you undergoing recruiting right now!
